Remove the Monarch, and Elect a President separate from the PM as Head of State

Additional Information

A petition to remove the monarchy, at the next parliamentary election, and to replace it with a directly elected, non-partisan, democratic, accountable President of the United Kingdom. The monarchy is outdated and modern society has no time for an out-of-touch family with little actual power suckign up our resources and giving the world false impressions of British culture. That is not who we are; we are advocates of the Rule of Law and liberal democracy, and our constitutional structure should be altered to reflect this.
