Restrict Gun Licences to Registered Professionals and Premises
Gun licences of any type should be restricted solely to trained professionals who attend regular, compulsory refresher courses, whose mental health is regularly assessed by a reputable psychiatrist and whose guns are secured in a safe place, not a home, where access and removal of guns can be supervised. It must be incumbent upon anyone granting such a licence to ensure that all above details are verified. Such qualified people would be available for hire to members of the public, possibly previously licensed, who required legitimate action.
