Petition Action

Restrict the Hours that On-Line Gaming can be Played

Additional Information

Legislation that restricts the hours that on-line games can be played in order to allow children a recognisable time to do homework and get a decent nights sleep. The suggested non gaming hours are 3.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday UK Time and between 12 Midnight and 9am Monday to Friday during school times. The afternoon restriction to be called "Homework and Sports and Recreational Activity". The early morning time to be called "get a good nights sleep - get up for school/work in the morning". Legislation should be in the form of requiring all online Gaming and Gambling organisations to be licensed to provide such services and part of their remit is to implement these restrictions and redirect online games to a webpage on their servers that promotes positive sports and recreational activities away from the computer.
