Petition Action

Return the decision to fix MPs wages (to include expenses) to the democratic process of the House of Commons

Additional Information

With the announcement of the MPs recommended increase in salary after the general election in 2015, our principal party leaders, David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Milliband have confirmed their disagreement to this increase.

There is currently only one high signature e-petition current but this has only 54,000 signatures and merely suggests "no increase". This finishes in January 2014.

There is a requirement for 100,000 signatures for generating a debate in the House of Commons so this is your opportunity of agreeing with our party leaders and giving them the boost that they need to have the matter properly debated and agreed in the Commons and not agreed by unelected ladies and gents from the higher echelons of our society who actually know what a duck house is!
