Review armed forces pensions and annual increases at present linked to the CPI
Armed forces pensions are at present linked to the CPI, they were originally linked to the RPI which always ran at a higher rate of inflation figure.
This was changed by government to save money by using the lower rated CPI.
How is it that politicians can award themselves an 11% pay rise and soetimes more under the same austerity budget. Yet we have to tighten our belts due to our pensions being unable to keep up with the cost of living.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure what specific action you would like the Government or Palriament to take. If you would like armed forces pensions to be linked to RPI, rather than CPI, you could start a new petition calling for that.
The Government and Parliament don’t have the power to set MPs’ pay. That power was given by Parliament to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) in 2010, so that after 2012 MPs no longer had control over their own pay. IPSA conducted a public consultation after 2012 and decided what the salaries of MPs should be after the election.
