Petition Details

Companies massively increase the costs of holidays and days out during school holiday times in the UK. By staggering the school holidays to spread demand, parents and those who work in education will be able to take advantage of cheaper prices.

Additional Information

Parent risk court fines in taking their children away in term-time to benefit from cheaper deals.

Time together as a family and learning about new cultures can be beneficial for children’s development and offers a valuable education alongside lessons taught in school

This petition calls for staggering school term dates by region, i.e. so if a parent has a child in a primary school and a secondary school in the same region, their holidays will be the same.
