Petition Action

Stop Pharmaceutical Manufacturers limiting suppies of vital medication into the UK to limit the free movement of goods

Additional Information

UK Pharmaceutical Companies are restricting supplies of vital medication to community pharmacists and patients in an effort to stop the free market movement of goods across Europe.
In doing so they are compromising patient safety and asking Pharmacists to breach data protection law by providing patient &/or prescriber details to verify orders are bonafide.

The government must stop this abuse of process and force manufacturers to produce enough to satisfy EU demand and not restrict trade and force manufacturers to stop forcing pharmacists to break the DPA in order to obtain medicines they have a legal right to obtain

For over 3 decades the UK has been a net importer of Pharmaceuticals from Europe and is still the second biggest net importer in Europe (second to Germany).
Stop the abuse - sign up now to get the government to take action.
