Suspension of Parents' State Benefits when a Pupil is expelled or suspended from school, as has been the case in France.
The threat of this would make more parents take an active role in their childrens' behaviour at school, avoiding laissez-faire atitudes that it is the schools' responsibility to instill discipline.
No the discipline starts in the home with parents, through simple education and chastisement. A more effective method than 'ASBO' badges of honour.
