The British blue passport should be reintroduced in 2019
The iconic British blue passport was scrapped in 1988 starting the homogenisation of EU countries with the clear aim of moving towards a United States of Europe and centralisation of power in Brussels. The renewal of contract in 2019 affords an opportunity to reintroduce the classic Blue passport
The traditional British blue passport should be reintroduced in 2019 when the current contract is renewed. The change in colour will be a nil cost option and can be incorporated into the security feature updates.
