Petition Action

The numbers of members of devolution governments of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales should be reduced by around half

Additional Information

England has elected but unpaid councillors in local government but extra expense is being incurred by HMG in having well paid extra tier of government & administration in the form of Scottish Parliament (129 elected MSPs), Northern Ireland Assembly (108 elected members) and Welsh Assembly (60 elected members). Each devotional government have jurisdiction on affairs in their home countries that include health, education, social services, economic development, rural affairs, culture, the environment, transport, policing, etc. It is unfair that MPs representing English constituencies is unable to vote on Scottish, Welsh & Northern Irish affairs but MPs from devotional constituencies can on English affairs.
