Those working with young people to learn how to prevent death from anaphylaxis.
A mum who is horrified by the lack of knowledge among many of those who work with children, young people & adults who have little or no understanding of the signs & symptoms of anaphylaxis or what to do immediately, for example, dial 999 ASAP or how to use an EpiPen (or equivalent).
I am a mother of two teenagers at risk of death from anaphylactic shock. I had to arrange for a GP to come (during his afternoon off) to teach the primary school staff about anaphylactic shock. Schools, children's clubs, colleges, universities and other public places should have EpiPens (or the equivalent) as they have defibrillators. The lack of knowledge about what anaphylaxis is and how to save a life is frightening. The availability of EpiPens (or the equivalent) WILL save lives.
