Tighter Controls on the Use of Fireworks

Additional Information

1. Fireworks louder than 100dba cannot be sold to the public [ie equivelent to the sound of a chain saw]
2. Sales of Cat. 3 Fireworks will also be restricted to firework professionals only.
3.General retail outlets can only sell fireworks 3 days before agreed celebrations.
4. Fireworks can only be let off during the hours of 6pm to 9pm, which will be extended to 11pm on the agreed celebration dates.
5. Breaking the law regarding fireworks will immediately entail an on the spot fine of £150
