To allow E-petitions about honours
E-petitions on the removal of Knighthoods are rejected because E-petitions "cannot include information about honours or appointments". This arbitrary and high handed stance is outrageous and shows the governments contempt for the views of the Great British public. The public have a right to have their say.
This e-petition has been rejected with the following reason given:
E-petitions cannot include information about honours or appointments.
Find information about nominations for honours at: http://www.direct.gov.uk/honours
The following explanatory notes have been added:
Honours are not dealt with by Parliament, so cannot be considered for e-petitions.
