Two parents' names on marriage register

Additional Information

Marriage registers currently record the name and occupation of each party’s father. This treats mothers as less important than fathers and fails to cater for children of same-sex couples or single parent families. This petition is to amend the format of the marriage register to record details of up to two parents for each party, without specifying “mother” or “father”.
