Urgent Govertment enquiry needed into delays in reclaiming care fees from Primary Care Trusts

Additional Information

There are currently thousand of claimants throughout the UK, who submitted claims to NHS Primary Care Trusts claiming residential care homes for people with Alzeimers and Parkinsons. - which should have been paid by the NHS.

Deadlines were given by the PCTs for submission of claims - now some PCTs state it could be up to 5 (FIVE) years before claims are assessed.

People were forced into taking out deferred loans against their property with their Local Authorities to pay for their care - repayable when property is sold.

Some local authorities are charging 8 (EIGHT) % per annum - they are not interest free.

Why are these claims against the PCT for care taking so long?

Why are some local authorities charging 8%
for loans to cover the cost of care?

Both of these issues need very very urgent
enquiry and investigation by the relevant Government Minister.
