Wales to be recognised in the Union flag for the UKs new start after brexit.

Petition Details

There has been calls for Wales to be recognised in the Union flag for some time and now is the time for it to happen.
After Brexit, the UK will go it alone without the EU and the eyes of the world will be on us to see how we will fare. It's time we showed the world we really are the UNITED kingdom!

Additional Information

The present design of the Union Flag dates from a Royal proclamation following the union of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801. The flag combines aspects of three older national flags: the red cross of St George of the Kingdom of England, the white saltire of St Andrew for Scotland (which two were united in the first Union Flag), and the red saltire of St Patrick to represent Ireland.
