Petition Action

We demand an immediate general election following the recent referendum result.

Petition Details

We the undersigned call upon HM government to hold an immediate general election to enable the British people to decide who will lead the upcoming EU negotiations in their name, even if this means a refusal to implement the result of the referendum.

Additional Information

This country now faces the prospect of being led out of Europe by a prime minister they did not elect & who may not have the whole country's best interests at heart, radically changing the fundamental governance of the U.K.
An immediate general election will allow people to vote on a clear set of principles & enable them to decide who they wish to represent them in the upcoming negotiations with the E.U.
Giving the winners a genuine mandate to take this country forward in a unified way.
