Police to take legal highs as seriously as classed drugs!

My 15 nephew was given a legal high by an adult, which resulted with him becoming unconscious and needing hospital treatment.

Additional Information

When I rang the police they wouldn't take it seriously as he willing took it. Police would of taken this seriously if it had been an illegal classed drug given by an adult to a child. Why not with with legal highs? Which could infact do the same damage as illegal drugs if not worse! They can kill.
Too many people are dying from legal highs.
Doctors struggle to help as new ones come on the market quickly which delays the help the person/child receives.
