To use the existing Influenza Vaccination List for future Covid Booster Vaccines
SARS-CoV-2 is a far more dangerous virus than Influenza but we all need to be able to live with it in years to come, so it is imperative that ALL vulnerable people are protected against ongoing and future variants.
By using the annual Influenza Vaccination List it would be:
SIMPLE & TIME-SAVING – Uses existing NHS protocol, making GPs and health professionals' lives much easier.
SAFE – Well-established, widely-acknowledged medical list.
CLEAR – Everyone knows if they’re already on the list, so there’s no confusion.
EFFECTIVE – Includes every vulnerable person with an underlying health condition: no-one falls through the gaps.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Decisions on how any booster vaccines are rolled out are a matter for the NHS and the JCVI, based on clinical decisions.
