Petition Action

The Government will establish a biometric ID system for UK citizens.

Petition Details

ID in case of health emergency, retrieval of health records to enable treatment.
Access for UK citizens to state provision of health care and social security. Access with ID e.g. schools, maternity units etc.
Prevent abuse by requiring ID for all hospital visits for minors and vulnerable adults.

Additional Information

Additional info which could be included: driving licences, medical alerts, National Insurance number, DBS, donor preferences, next of kin contact.
Assist in protection of citizens from risks associated with terrorism, organised crime, monitoring of sex offenders, illegal immigration.
Assists in ease of travel UK and abroad.
The UK Government will establish safeguarding laws. Public would be required to prove identity at the reasonable request of an authorised civil servant
