Completely ban Sunday trading for high-street retailers.

Petition Details

Sunday is a special day, families and communities gather on the seventh day to 'rest.' Unfortunately, the majority of employment contracts make workers who would participate in religious activities or spend time with their families have to go to work.

Additional Information

It's sad to see that as Sunday trading laws have become more lenient, divorce rates have increased. Family time is now more unusual and many people refused to do such things as mow the lawn on Sundays until supermarkets broke the law and got their way.
