Petition Details

DST was introduced during World War I in order to reduce fuel usage. In a modern society that has
A large number of countries who have previously used DST have now have revoked their use, including 3 of the Austrailian states, China and the majority of the Asian continent and South America.

Additional Information

There are studies that have shown that Farmers, Families with small children and others are adversely affected by DST. The impact to business is significant, with studies estimating in the region of $500million US to US businesses alone every year.
