Equalise public spending per capita throughout the United Kingdom.

Petition Details

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland get higher payments per capita than England. This is unreasonable. All countries in the UK should receive the same amount per capita.

Additional Information

In 2014/15, public spending per capita in the UK as a whole was £8,913. In England, it was £8,638 (3% below the UK average). This compares with:
• Scotland: £10,374 (16% above the UK average – 20% higher than England)
• Wales: £9,904 (11% above the UK average – 14.7% higher than England)
• Northern Ireland £11,106 (25% above the UK average – 28.6% higher than England).
