Review campaign rules / media regulation on stigmatisation of demographic groups

Petition Details

In the UK, loosely regulated media and political propaganda has been used extensively to stigmatise and marginalise demographics, particularly those in minority groups. More should be done to protect groups and individuals from becoming targets for political or financial gain.

Additional Information

Media content and political campaigns, including headlines, tag lines, articles or information and imagery, specifically taken out of context or construed with the intention to promote concern, fear and isolation of any group or culture that exists fairly under UK law, should be regulated to protect the public from attacks of violence and hatred.
