Free statin and other long term and lifelong medication
Not all long term medication is free of prescription charges.
Unless you are receiving benefit, statins and many other long term drugs are subject to a £8.40 charge; per medication. There are many people that are employed but struggle to afford this. These prescription charges represent nothing more than an unfair, stealth tax.
If the general population were forced to pay an additional £8.40 in tax, every month for life, there would be public uproar!
This is immoral, fundamentally wrong and needs to be stopped.
