To make sure all voulunteers on school trips are DBS/CRB checked
A primary school child, as young as 4 years can legally go on a school trip in a group of 6 children with one career. The career can be anyone connected to the school i.e parent, grandparent, a parents partner etc. The volunteers do not legally have to be DBS checked.

The career can be anyone connected to the school i.e parent, grandparent, a parents partner etc. The volunteers do not legally have to be DBS checked. This means that the person caring for a child for the day could have anything on their criminal record and the school would not know about this.
