Government spending on infrastructure.

Petition Details

Spending on infrastructure is heavily biased towards London and the South East.

Additional Information

A recent report from the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR ) quotes the Government plans to spend £1870 per person in London over the next 5 years whilst over the same period the North East will receive £280 per person.
Figures for the Midlands and the South West are £193 and £219 per person over the next 5 years.

If you wanted the Government to equalise per head infrastructure spending across the regions of England (for example) you could start a petition about that.
