Hunting is cruel and unnecessary it causes pain and suffering many deer endure prolonged and painful death when they are injured but not killed by hunters This violent form of "entertainment" leaves countless orphaned or badly injured when hunters miss their target quick kills are rare
A British study of deer hunting found that 11 percent of deer killed by hunters die only after being shot two or more times and that some wounded deer suffer for more than 15 minutes before dying
