Justice for the accused...

Additional Information

At present individuals who are charged with any offence...and please remember that being charged does NOT mean GUILTY....are routinely named and photographed by local/national media. This information is published for all to see and comment on. The Government should change this to allow the accused to remain anonymous until or unless they are found to be guilty of the charges brought against them.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
