Petition Action

Stop Members of Parliament from taking on additional jobs.

Petition Details

MPs are paid £74,962 to represent constituents, serious questions should be asked of any MP who has time to take on an additional job. Either these MPs are not doing their job as our elected representatives properly, or the job role should be re-examined to justify the remuneration.

Additional Information

Nurses = working 12-15 hour shifts
Teachers = working 60-70 hour weeks
Junior doctors = 50-100 hours a week

Members of Parliament, apparently able to work two or even three jobs.
