Value the care staff of this country! Think about those providing care

Petition Details

The government needs to review pay for all health and social care, those in private sector, care homes should consider subsidies. The workforce is dying which means more safeguardings and less support. Tesco pay more, making carers hard to find. What will happen to you when you need help?

Additional Information

Alternative solutions, investment could lead to less costs, less safeguardings but top ups for care staff private, council and NHS, the system just doesnt work without them. Think big, and act, change is needed.

Qualified staff left at pay bands, not able to improve financially, when experienced, efficient & overworked. Processes often costly & unproductive

Unqualified staff, cost of living rises and care assistants not able to to support themselves but still help others. Tesco pays more?!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not exactly sure what you want the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure what you mean by 'review pay for all health and social care'.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government to increase the salary of carers in the UK, including subsidies for private care workers, if that's what you want to happen.
