Make denying children medical treatment for religious reasons illegal
There have been many example of children (and some adults) dying because medical treatment has been denied for religious reasons.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
It's already the case that if a parent or guardian refuses to give consent to a particular treatment, this decision can be overruled by the courts if treatment is thought to be in the best interests of the child. We're therefore not sure what further action you'd like to see.
