Petition Action

Hold to account the MPs whose actions led us towards a no-deal Brexit

Petition Details

In the event of a no-deal Brexit, any MP who voted for the invocation of Article 50 without seeing any detailed plans to leave the EU should forfeit their pension accrued during this Parliamentary session.

Additional Information

The money raised should be used to fund emergency relief projects to mitigate the consequences of a no-deal Brexit.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

MPs' pensions are the responsibility of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority and not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition calling for a public inquiry to be set up if a no-deal Brexit takes place if that is something you would like to see happen.
