Debar from political office anyone who lies about matters of national importance
Politicians who knowingly misled the public about matters of national importance have damaged our country. Some have served in Cabinet and are now mooted as candidates for Prime Minister. An independent committee should scrutinise the integrity of anyone wishing to serve in these roles.
