Britain should leave the Commonwealth
The Commonwealth is a fundamentally undemocratic institution which costs British taxpayers large sums a year, and provides little or no benefit to the British economy. Other nations would be free to continue as members of the Commonwealth after the UK leaves.
The Commonwealth of Nations is an outdated and undemocratic club run for the benefit of a small elite. It has served some purpose in improving relations between Britain and its former colonies, but as a modern, independent, global nation, the UK should look to the future and leave the Commonwealth in peace.
