Prosecute child abuse under balance of probability
Too many victims of child abuse are denied justice. Without enough evidence for a prosecution, people are being mentally scarred for life.
1 in 3 children who were abused by an adult don’t tell anyone at the time. We should change the prosecution threshold to balance of probability instead of beyond all reasonable doubt to ensure justice for victims. All types of abuse and neglect are associated with poor mental health.
