Save the Oldest Pub in East London

Additional Information

We, the undersigned, being appalled by the impending future of the Olde Spotted Dog Inn, at 212 Upton Lane, London E7, do petition the House of Commons, The Council of the London Borough of Newham, in the following:-

1. To seek alternatives, to those before the Council, regarding any proposed redevelopment of the Spotted Dog Inn. This building is the oldest secular building in Newham, and is in the hearts, minds, and heritage of people across the world.

2. To investigate the possibilities of seeking public subscription, to turn the Spotted Dog Inn, into a Heritage centre, free, and protected from future development.

3. To recognise the importance of this rare and historic building, and to let it be handed down to posterity intact, and returned to its former glory.

We the undersigned hereto append our names:-
