Petition Action

Richard Stewart's sentence should be re-avaluated to a stricter sentence on the viscous attack on his dog

Additional Information

I feel the sentence for Richard Stewart for the attack on his dog is too light of a punishment. He should not be aloud another pet in the future.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Sentences that appear to be unduly lenient cannot be referred through the E-Petitions website. If you believe a sentence given in a Crown Court appears to be very low, or unduly lenient, anyone can contact the Attorney General's office asking for the sentence to be reviewed as long as it is within 28 days of sentencing.

Only certain serious offences can be referred under the unduly lenient scheme, full details can be found on our website www.gov.uk/ago
