Petition Action

artists are not protected as the work we do is in nightclubs is self employment

Petition Details

We are not protected by any means necessary, and we are being left out with the ongoings in the U.K at the moment and we want the government to review their policies in regards to nightlife as the British economy needs nightlife. We need to work to survive.

Additional Information

Because it is our jobs, and clubs are being forced closed!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you're concerned about the impact of Covid-19 on people who normally work in bars and nightclubs, but it's not clear if you just want the Government to allow these venues to reopen, or if you want them to take some other action.

We have published the following petitions, some of which you might like to sign:

Let Us Dance - Support nightclubs, dance music events and festivals: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/332789

The government to allow the opening of nightclubs: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/331625

Repeal Covid-19 Restrictions on opening hours: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/551634

Extend Self-Employment income support in alignment with the Job Retention scheme: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/320655

Increase the 20% self-employed grant for those who cannot return to work: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552932

Pay self-employed workers 80% of gross income during Covid-19: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/309231

If you would like the Government to take an action not covered by the above you could start a new petition, but it would need to be clear exactly what you want the Government to do.
