Petition Action

GCSE Science should be optional, not compulsory.

Petition Details

Change the GCSE curriculum and allow students to choose whether they learn Science at GCSE level.

Additional Information

In order for students to successfully complete their secondary education, the focus should be mainly on Maths and English, along with their chosen options. Science is a very complex subject and for over half of the students at GCSE, this is an added stress that they simply do not need. Pupils shouldn’t be forced to learn Science. It should be a choice at GCSE, like History, Geography, Drama, etc.
