Petition Action

Vaccinate adolescents against Covid-19

Petition Details

I would request that the Government vaccinates adolescents (12-17) against the Coronavirus and approve more covid vaccines for this age group.

Additional Information

I would like the Government to at least consider vaccinating adolescents against the Coronavirus due to the fact that self isolating has become a normal thing too do due to the high case numbers in this age group. I have had to self isolate 6 times already and with cases on the rise once again, it has become a huge inconvenience and strain on my and I am sure a lot of others learning. This age group is also the more likely to be spreading and catching the virus to people who are vulnerable.

Approval of vaccines for public use is a matter for the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, not the Government or House of Commons, so we can't accept petitions calling the approval of vaccines, as this is subject to a clear, independent process.
