Petition Action

Seek binding agreement at COP26 to make it mandatory to teach climate change.

Petition Details

Earth is trapping unprecedented amounts of heat evidenced by NASA reports, the Global warming index Oxford University and the draft UN report. Unfortunately the world population is less well aware and educated about the long term consequences of climate change that outweigh the Covid pandemic.

Additional Information

The UK government has a great opportunity at COP26 to seek a binding agreement for individual countries within their different educational systems to make climate change a mandatory curriculum course to inspire innovation and awareness at tertiary and school institutions. There is a cost for lack of knowledge and a opportunity for the economics of climate change.
