Petition Action

Encourage the UK government to take action on unemployment

Petition Details

The rates of unemployment in the UK has rapidly increased, the rates spiking up by 4.8% during March. These rates are believed to higher up to 5.5% by Autumn. By signing this petition, you can help unemployment levels decrease, yet again balancing the UK's economy.

Additional Information

Due to the current pandemic, many have been pulled out of their jobs, increasing rates of unemployment. If this cause reaches the government's concern, it will economically benefit the UK seeing as jobs will be balanced, allowing citizens to make a living.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you're concerned about unemployment, but we're not sure what specific actions you'd like the Government to take to combat this.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
