Petition Action

criminalize catcalling and street harrassment.

Petition Details

Criminalize catcalling as sexual harassment as it is mostly targeted towards children aged11-17. 6 countries have made it illegal so, join the movement make catcalling illegal. I was 11 when I first experienced catcalling and can't believe we are still accepting sexual harassment.

Additional Information

Sexual harassment is a form of unlawful discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. The law says it's sexual harassment if the behavior is either meant to, or has the effect of violating your dignity, or. creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment. Catcalling should be contained within the definition of sexual harassment and raised to the same level as other forms of harassment within the law.
