Fund research into the mental health benefits of spray tanning
There are anecdotal reports that looking good makes you feel good as well. One way to test this hypothesis would be to investigate the effects of cosmetic treatments, such as spray tanning, on depression.
Mental health issues seem to be quite high on the governments agenda at the moment. It would therefore seem sensible to look into more possible solutions to the problem. Since spray tanning is a quick, easy, relatively cheap and appropriate for both genders this could go some way to improving the mental health of the nation should the research turn out to be positive.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure whether you want to fund research on spray tanning only, or for all cosmetic treatments that are widely available.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
