Provide free period products in all schools, collages and public buildings
It is completely unacceptable that people have to choose between heating and food or their health and dignity during their menstruation. Provide free period products in all public toilets, without charge nor tax, end period poverty and the stigma surrounding menstruation
1 in 10 people experience period poverty which results in approximately 130,000 students missing school - this is totally unacceptable and completely avoidable, Politicians and MPS have remarked periods are “not an issue” and “unpreventable” however clearly they others lack the understanding that having to choose between hot water or hygiene and dignity is intolerable. MPS need to grow up, end period stigma and provide those in poverty their basic needs. Period products are not a luxury!
