Devalue the pound by fifty percent or more while ensuring that everyone's wages in both the public and private sectors remain the same in real terms. In the past, people buying houses in the sixties found they owned their own homes in the eighties. If the currency is allowed to inflate naturally, then debt becomes a trivial problem.
