Parliament to investigate the failure of Admission Authorities to provide meaningful preferences and adequately consult on changes to admission criteria putting Mulbarton children at a profound disadvantage Resolve the injustice by providing temporary capacity until the school extension is completed

Additional Information

The consultation that Hethersett Academy are required to undertake prior to changes to their admission criteria (School Admissions Code 2021), was inadequate - feeder schools and affected parents were not consulted. Mulbarton Primary School children have been unfairly disadvantaged, in a further breach of the School Admissions Code, the Local Authority has failed to adequately oversee the process, this resulted in 50% of Mulbarton pupils not receiving any of their three secondary school choices.
