Ensure there are alternatives to pay by phone for paying for street parking
Not everyone has access to a smart phone. Councils should ensure that there are alternative ways to pay for chargeable on street parking e.g. machines that accept card or cash payments
To ensure that all road users, including those without access to smart phones are able to have access to metered parking bays. Payment by phone is often not straightforward and can be time consuming. It also doesn’t work if mobile phone signals are weak.
