Petition Action

Stop the privatisation of NHS dentists

Petition Details

Campaign to enlist more NHS trained dentists & keep this invaluable service alive.

Additional Information

There are many people in a poverty trap these days,. Not eligible for benefits but also on a low income & still paying tax & National Insurance. So many people are already living hand to mouth during this everlasting economic crisis. It's unbelievable that we now have to find more money to pay for dental health. I've heard stories of people pulling their own teeth because they can't get in to see a NHS dentist as there's none available.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about NHS dentistry services, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

The NHS is responsible for commissioning dental care services, but we have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Change the law to guarantee NHS dental care for residents in England: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/638133

Give patients a right to be seen by an NHS GP or dentist within three days: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/640653
